Now that you have read all about out “Everyday Extraordinary” experience in Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3, we wanted to share what a “Day in the Life” actually looks like.
As soon as we had the idea, we knew we needed to find a family who would be comfortable with us coming into their home and allowing us the opportunity to document their day. We spent one beautiful, sunny Sunday in October of 2014 with some of our good friends, the Vatheuer’s.
We arrived early in the morning, just as their two girls were waking up. They were initially baffled by our presence, but as most kids do, they seemed to quickly forget all about the camera’s and were happy to have us there as company. And the morning routine carried on as normal… breakfast and getting dressed.
The Vatheuer’s live on a beautiful piece of land, and so after breakfast they decided to go for a walk around their property. What a magical place to live, especially for kids – full of places to explore and adventure!
After their morning walk, the girls snacked on doughnuts and played outside, followed by some time in the garden harvesting the last bits of food for that season (Jeannie has an AMAZING garden! I don’t know where she finds the time?) and then, a little nap for the girls and quiet time.
After naps, it was a perfect afternoon to go visit their neighbor for some pool time! Then time to wind down for the day with baths, dinner and bedtime!
Thank you so much Stefan and Jeannie for letting us come and spend the day with you!
